About the Role
A leading school in Pietermaritzburg is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function and contribute at both a strategic and operational level. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working in a purpose-driven environment while making a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full finance function, including reporting and compliance
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Oversee cash flow and working capital
- Drive financial controls and process improvements
- Manage debtors, collections, and financial sustainability
- Lead and develop the finance team
- Support audits, risk management, and statutory compliance
- Provide strategic financial input to leadership
Requirements
Relevant Accounting Degree + SAICA Articles (essential)
CA(SA) advantageous
Minimum 5 years experience in a Finance Management role
Strong experience in management accounts, budgeting, and reporting
Proficiency in Pastel Accounting and advanced Excel
Proven leadership and team management experience
