About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced External Sales Representative to join our team in Pinetown. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining existing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Prospect for potential new clients across various sectors
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers
  • Understand customer needs and technical requirements to recommend ceramic/refractory products or systems
  • Present product specifications, strengths, limitations, and provide technical advice and support
  • Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals, presentations, and negotiate terms
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators
  • Conduct regular field visits/site inspections to assess applications, resolve issues, demonstrate product performance
  • Gather market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing, new materials/technologies
  • Collaborate internally to ensure orders are fulfilled, products delivered on time, quality standards met
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and feedback to management
  • Attend trade shows, industry conferences, customer training sessions as required

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of sales experience in the Ceramic products Industry
  • Good communication, negotiation, presentation skills
  • Ability to travel frequently, sometimes to remote or industrial sites
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Self-motivated and target-driven with ability to work independently in the field
