About the Role

As a Parts Salesman in Pinetown, you will be responsible for selling parts to repair defects and meet customer needs, ensuring a first-time fix. You will also handle telephonic queries for the Sales Department, assist with personal development, and maintain a clean and orderly parts department.

Key Responsibilities

Sell parts to repair defects and meet customer needs, ensuring a first-time fix
Listen to customers’ explanations and have a clear understanding of part/component location
Handle telephonic queries for the Sales Department when required
Show interest in personal development and willingness to learn more about the product
Assist in keeping parts department clean and orderly
Ensure all parts used are recorded on the job card
Follow prescribed cash, credit, and cheque processing procedures at the point of sale
Handle warranties, new return merchandise, and follow up on shortages as required
Understand office dynamics to effectively deal with suppliers and colleagues
Contribute to departmental and dealership marketing plans as required
Secure stores from fire, damage, or theft by implementing company policies
Ensure discount policy is observed
Monitor suppliers’ prices and report significant changes to the Parts Manager

Requirements

Matric or higher
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
Code 8 licence
Evolve system experience
