GAAP Transport Fixed Asset Accountant (Degree + Articles, Pinetown Basic + Benefits
Grade 12
BComm degree, majoring in Financial Accounting minimum, a prerequisite.
- Completed Articles.
- Minimum 3 years experience in an accounting department
- 2 years in a management position
- Knowledge of the bus passenger industry
- Knowledge of GAAP, GRAP, IFRS, Accounting and Auditing principles and practices
- Knowledge of Human Resources, and Industrial Relations practices and procedures/related legislation
Duties;
- Supervision of Finance
- Preparation of month end and year end journals.
- Check Trial balance/General ledger
- Preparation of monthly General Ledger reconciliations
- Control Accounts Payable function (Capturing invoices, preparing reconciliations and payments).
- Check monthly cashbook.
- Oversee the credit control function
- Completion of monthly VAT
- Regular internal audits
- Conduct audits of Stock-takes.
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Financial reports
- Annual budgets.
- Annual external audit.
