Job Description
A leading packaging company is looking for an experienced Raw Materials Store Team Leader with strong experience in supply chain and FMCG environments to join their team in Pinetown. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail oriented team leader to oversee an offsite store by managing stock rotations, identifying control risks, and ensuring the timeous distribution of requirements to the main site. Responsibilities:
- Supervise the offsite Raw Materials Store, including secondary packaging and cleaning operations.
- Execute Batch and FIFO protocols for all materials and catalogue regrind.
- Oversee the Goods Returns process and inspect for damages or scrap.
- Identify control risks and implement mitigation measures for stock movements.
- Conduct regular weekly, monthly, and annual stock takes plus unplanned spot checks.
- Coordinate the timely distribution of secondary packaging to the main site.
- Process raw material stock transactions and administration via SAP.
- Perform incoming inspection checks on packaging dimensions and artwork.
- Manage the daily activities of the warehouse team, including drivers and processors.
- Facilitate staff training, performance management, and compliance with HR policies.
- Maintain a safe work environment and high housekeeping standards.
- Supervise waste management, including plant collections and partner separation.
- Ensure all documentation complies with ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 standards.
Requirements:
- A post-matric qualification in Supply Chain or a similar relevant field.
- A proven track record working within an FMCG Supply Chain environment.
- Proficiency in SAP is highly advantageous.
- Strong computer literacy, specifically in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
