About the Role
Are you ready to reinforce your career in one of South Africa’s leading steel and mesh solutions companies? We’re looking for a dynamic Internal Sales Representative to join our team and help drive customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face
- Provide accurate product and pricing information
- Prepare and send quotes, proposals, and tenders
- Follow up on leads and quotations to convert inquiries into sales
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Process sales orders and ensure accurate data entry
- Coordinate with logistics and production to fulfill orders
- Track deliveries and keep clients informed
- Resolve order discrepancies and customer complaints
- Maintain and update customer records
- Generate sales reports and forecasts
- Support external sales reps and field operations
- Liaise with finance for invoicing and payment follow-ups
- Assist with marketing campaigns and customer outreach
- Research competitors, pricing trends, and market demand
- Identify new business opportunities
- Provide feedback to improve sales strategies
Requirements
- 13 years experience in internal sales or customer service
- Experience in tendering and order processing
- Strong grasp of sales principles and quotation processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with customer data management systems
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze customer needs and market trends
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
