About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team in Polokwane. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest culinary standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a designated kitchen section (hot, cold, or other specialty)
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with the hotel’s culinary standards
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and skill development
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety standards in the workstation
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other kitchen team members for menu execution and special events
Requirements
- Formal culinary qualification relevant to the role
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar Chef de Partie role, preferably in a hotel or fine-dining environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent culinary skills, with attention to detail in preparation and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
