About the Role

A reputable lodge operation in Pongola, KwaZuluNatal, is seeking a Junior Electrician/Maintenance Technician to support its maintenance department. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual eager to grow within the hospitality and lodge maintenance environment.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair electrical faults across buildings and lodge infrastructure
Install and maintain single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
Work on distribution boards, wiring systems, lighting circuits, and outlets
Assist with electrical components of HVAC/air-conditioning systems
Install and maintain electric geysers and hot water systems
Conduct troubleshooting and electrical fault-finding
Assist with water pumps and electrically driven systems
Support preventative electrical maintenance programs
Perform handyman duties including basic building repairs
Maintain safety compliance and proper tool care

Requirements

Electrical qualification or trade certification (N2 / N3 / Trade Test or similar)
Practical experience with single-phase and three-phase systems
Knowledge of HVAC electrical components
Experience with electric geyser installations
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work in a remote environment
