About the Role
We are seeking a Logistics Assistant to join our team at a luxury game lodge in Pongola, supporting daily operational logistics and ensuring the smooth running of our game drive activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Activities Coordinator with loading food, beverages, and supplies onto game drive vehicles
- Ensure vehicles are properly prepared with the required equipment before scheduled game drives
- Assist with unloading and organizing equipment and supplies after game drives
- Assist the Vehicle Fleet Manager with general logistical and operational tasks within the vehicle depot
- Monitor equipment and report any faults or maintenance needs to the appropriate department
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-managed vehicle depot area
- Move equipment, supplies, and materials between operational areas of the lodge
- Provide general operational support to the Events Manager and activities team when required
Requirements
- Practical experience in general operational, logistics, or maintenance support roles
- Ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, loading, and organizing equipment
- Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a remote lodge environment
- Ability to work early mornings and late afternoons aligned with game drive schedules
- Experience working in lodges, farms, or hospitality environments
- Basic mechanical or maintenance knowledge
- Experience assisting with tools, equipment management, or logistics support
