About the Role:
A reputable national retail group within the health and wellness sector is seeking an experienced Store Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, team leadership, and achieving sales targets. This is a hands-on position suited to a proactive retail professional with solid FMCG or supermarket management experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Store Manager with overall store operations and performance.

Oversee stock control, replenishment, and shrinkage management.

Supervise and guide department teams to ensure operational excellence.

Manage customer service standards and resolve queries timeously.

Oversee online / click-and-collect operations.

Support HR and admin processes, including scheduling, leave, and performance management.

Ensure merchandising, pricing, and promotional standards are upheld.

Maintain housekeeping and compliance with health and safety standards.
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric (essential).

Retail or Business Management qualification (advantageous).

5+ years experience in Retail / FMCG operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

Experience in stock management, merchandising, and cash control.

Strong leadership and organisational ability.

Computer literate (MS Office; SAP or similar ERP systems advantageous).

Valid drivers license and own reliable transport.
