About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Control System Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a Control System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for various industrial clients. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in PLC programming and industrial automation, especially in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and document process flowcharts and sequences of operations.
- Establish optimal control system configurations for new and existing facilities.
- Program, test, and commission facilities according to project scope and timelines.
- Develop and refine control software to improve system functionality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both PLC programming and electrical systems.
- Interface control systems with other plant systems via Serial, Digital, Ethernet, Profi-bus, etc.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in PLC programming, specifically within the automotive industry.
- Experience in working with one or more of the following PLCs: Siemens, Beckhoff, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron.
- Skilled in integrating SCADA, motion control, robotics, and measurement systems with PLCs.
Qualifications
National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics or Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronics)
