About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of our equipment and machinery. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will enable you to diagnose and repair equipment failures efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Repairs Diagnose the root cause of equipment failures and implement corrective actions swiftly.
- Minimize downtime by quickly addressing faults, defects, and failures.
- Ensure equipment operates optimally through the application of relevant technical and engineering practices.
- Collaborate with Production to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Provide regular reports to the Toolroom Foreman, documenting repairs, downtime, and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate (NQF 4)
- Trade Test: Fitter / Fitter and Turner (NQF 5)
