About the Role
The purpose of this role is to manage the movement of stock in and out of the warehouse while ensuring accurate stock records at all times. Additionally, it involves overseeing the Oil Management System to maintain proper control and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and count stock items, ensuring accurate data recording.
- Properly pack and unpack items for storage on shelves, in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
- Accurately pick orders based on system-generated requisitions and customer invoices.
- Deliver picked parts promptly to the dispatch area, counter, or gate, signing off as the responsible picker.
- Assist with daily perpetual stock counts.
- Verify inventory by comparing physical stock to recorded counts, investigating discrepancies, and making necessary adjustments.
- Store items in a neat, organized, and easily accessible manner in designated warehouse or storage areas.
- Correctly label stock items with appropriate markings.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with ASEC and OHSACT regulations.
- Determine proper storage methods and stock placement based on turnover, environmental conditions, and facility capacity.
- Maintain records of stock usage, damage, or handling equipment conditions.
- Inspect stock items for signs of wear or defects and report any damages to the supervisor or manager.
- Monitor and inspect the security of the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard, reporting any irregularities to the supervisor or manager.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification of Matric / Grade 10 with at least 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Commitment to service excellence, ensuring high attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization, with fluency in spoken and written English.
- Valid Code 8 Drivers License.
- Certified Forklift Operator License.
- Experience in handling batteries and charging equipment.
