About the Role
Our Client in the Logistics and Shipping Industry is seeking to employ a Shipping Coordinator to join their team based in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing export documentation, and providing exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders and courier companies
- Arrange collections and deliveries for international, national, and local partners
- Manage and process export documentation in line with regulatory requirements
- Prepare invoices, packing lists, airway bills, and related shipping documents
- Track shipments and resolve delivery or customs-related issues
- Maintain accurate shipping records and filing systems
Requirements
- Proven experience in shipping or logistics coordination
- Demonstrated export experience
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Articulate and professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Valid drivers licence and own reliable transport (non-negotiable)
- Ability to multitask and work accurately under pressure
- Experience working with Pastel advantageous but not essential
