About the Role
Our client, a well-established automotive company based in Gqeberha, is seeking an experienced and qualified Toolmaker to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and maintaining precision tools, dies, and fixtures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture, repair, and maintain precision tools, dies, and fixtures
- Operate and program CNC and manual machining equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Conduct quality checks to ensure components meet automotive standards
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement improvements
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams
Requirements
- Trade-tested Toolmaker or equivalent qualification
- 3+ years experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in CNC machining, milling, and grinding
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards in the automotive industry
Qualifications
- Trade-tested Toolmaker or equivalent qualification
- Matric (if applicable)
