Job Description
Well-established company based in East London is seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermaker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing metal structures, boilers and pressure vessels.
Requirements:
- Must be trade tested as a Boiler Maker
- Must have at least 35 years post-trade experience in heavy industry or manufacturing
- Must be proficient in ARC, MIG and TIG welding
- Must be physically fit and able to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Must be able to conduct maintenance, repairs and inspections on boilers and related equipment
- Must be able to use welding, cutting, and shaping techniques to form and join metal parts
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications
- Must be able to perform planned maintenance, shutdown work and repairs on plant equipment
- Must be able to conduct inspections, fault-finding and quality checks on fabricated items
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Must have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of business
- Monitor compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplace
