Job Summary

Utility 2 Operator – Port Elizabeth Market-Related Salary Purpose of the Job To ensure excellent customer service for both internal and external stakeholders. Educational and Experience: Grade 12. N4 or equivalent trade/artisan qualification. Proficiency in operating advanced machinery. Strong understanding of process management. Familiarity with QMS systems. Minimum of 5 years experience in an automated factory environment. Knowledge of the OSH Act. Familiarity with Company processes, policies, and procedures. Technical proficiency in relevant areas Major Responsibilities and Key Result Areas Automatic plate enveloping machines. Automatic COS machines, including mold changes and startup. Shorts Testing machines. TTP welding machines, including scheduled head changes. Heat Sealing machines, including mold changes and startup. Leak testing machines, including tool changes and startup. Date Coding machines, ensuring correct coding information setup. Automatic and semi-automatic Post Burner equipment setup and maintenance. Ensuring equipment produces quality products at nominal rates. Taking corrective action as necessary. Ensuring cleanliness and safety of assembly line equipment. Maintaining extraction and cooling water systems. Completing job cards and obtaining necessary permits. Recording production logs, attribute charts, and SPC data as per work instructions. Communicating effectively with suppliers, customers, management, and peers. Ensuring all duties are performed professionally and meet customer requirements. Stopping processes immediately if quality standards are not met, identifying and correcting issues promptly. Supporting profitability through teamwork. Participating in safety audits. Assisting other production departments as needed. Adhering to standards for quality, safety, and housekeeping. Assertive, self-confident, and flexible. Resilient, objective, analytical, and systematic. Customer-focused.
