Summary:

Hire Resolve’s Client are currently seeking a Senior Superintendent with extensive experience in the mining industry to join our team in the Northern Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, safety leadership, and project management in an underground mining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

– Oversee all aspects of the mining operation, including production targets, safety standards, cost control, and resource planning.
– Provide leadership and guidance to a team of supervisors and operators to ensure the successful execution of mining activities.
– Implement and monitor health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all employees.
– Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and suppliers.
– Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize mining processes and increase productivity.
– Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, including production data, safety statistics, and budget analysis.

Qualifications and Experience:

– Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
– A Valid Opencast Blasting Certificate or A Valid Trade Certificate
– 2 years experience at a GES Level or Site Manager is essential
– A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in underground mining operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
– Experience in managing large-scale mining projects, including budgeting, planning, and execution.
– Strong knowledge of mining regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
