About the Role
Hire Resolve’s Client are currently seeking a Senior Superintendent with extensive experience in the mining industry to join our team in the Northern Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, safety leadership, and project management in an underground mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the mining operation, including production targets, safety standards, cost control, and resource planning.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of supervisors and operators to ensure the successful execution of mining activities.
- Implement and monitor health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all employees.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and suppliers.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize mining processes and increase productivity.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, including production data, safety statistics, and budget analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
- A Valid Opencast Blasting Certificate or A Valid Trade Certificate.
- 2 years experience at a GES Level or Site Manager is essential.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in underground mining operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in managing large-scale mining projects, including budgeting, planning, and execution.
- Strong knowledge of mining regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
