About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting & Payroll Officer to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting and payroll processes, while also providing exceptional support to our finance, HR, and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Prepare and submit payroll reports and tax returns
- Collaborate with HR and Finance team to ensure smooth operations
- Manage accounts receivable
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, law and regulations
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations
- Manage and reconcile petty cash fund
- Process and record small transactions, including expenses and reimbursements
- Process and prepare sundry creditor payments in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Knowledge of Accounting Software and Payroll Systems (Pastel)
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- 2 Years experience in Accounting and Payroll (Payroll processing, tax compliance and benefit administration)
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, automotive industry would be beneficial
