About the Role
The Alternative Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of sales consultants focused on converting leads generated through real estate partners, bond origination partners, alternative lead channels, and direct marketing initiatives. The role ensures effective execution of sales strategies, achievement of sales targets, and compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the sales team to ensure high performance and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Lead, inspire, and manage a team of sales consultants while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct daily buzz sessions to review performance, identify improvement areas, and align the team on daily targets.
- Develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps and drive continuous improvement.
- Drive sales performance and ensure the effective execution of campaigns across alternative sales channels.
- Optimize lead conversion and premium generation across campaigns.
- Monitor individual and team performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales, productivity, and quality metrics.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- RE5 and FAIS qualifications (mandatory)
- RE1 qualification advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field advantageous
- Previous experience in call centre sales and campaign management
- Proven experience in short-term and/or long-term insurance sales within a call centre environment
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading sales teams
- Experience in planning, executing, and optimising sales campaigns
