•Key Performance Areas
Capacity Development to Implementing Partners
• Responsible for day-to-day implementation of CD activities of the Epic Project with the
• Community Based Organizations- Zonwabele in George, I am who I am Ministries in Cape TownWestern Cape, Sibanye in Port Elizabeth – Eastern Cape and SOHACA in Soweto- Gauteng.
• Conduct organizational capacity assessments with implementing partners as part of institutional strengthening process.
• Conduct site visits in support of development of the partner organizations.
• Co-develop ISPs (Institutional Strengthening Plans) for each partner and ensure implementation of the critical identified activities.
• Provide ongoing support to each partner on the areas of Governance & Leadership, Financial Management and Internal Controls and Human Resource Management.
• Support development of training material, trainings, and other necessary material for CD
• interventions.
• Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders in all aspects of activities planning, monitoring, and
• implementation related to capacity development.
• Actively participate in Pact’s capacity development Community of Practice.
Reporting and Monitoring
• Assist in monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on the company of CD interventions, exploring ways to deepen understanding of the degree to which CD interventions lead to enhanced HIV service delivery.
• Monitor potential risks and actively participate in risk management project briefings.
• Support program monitoring, learning, and sharing of lessons on Capacity Development.
• Monitor and support the day-to-day implementation of sub-awards.
• Contribute to the development and write up of project reports and contribute to documentation of new and existing capacity development and specifically OD methodologies within Pact.
Administration
• Coordinate development of monthly plans, activity schedules and communication circulars in support of the CBO project partners.
• Participate in weekly update meeting and support Epic CD activities.
• Prepare all logistical training resources i.e., venue, stationery, report templates (attendance register and other) and confirming with attendees.
• Ensure the regular backups of data are completed.
Education and Experience Required
• A relevant degree -organizational development, business or public management or a related area.
• Experience in working for US government -funded project(s) with significant CD elements.
• Proficiency with activities, theories, methods, and technology in capacity development field.
• Excellent facilitation and training skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to travel.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• South African citizen or permanent resident strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of one additional local language
• Quick learner.
•General
• Must be a South African national or permanent resident with fluency in English and in at least one local indigenous South African language
• Must have a valid South Africa driver’s license.
• Perform functions with a view to safeguarding the best interest of Company.
