About the Role
IX Engineers is seeking a Civil Engineer Technologist to join their team in Pretoria. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and contributing to the success of various projects.
Key Responsibilities
- General project administration and coordination
- Assisting with proposal preparation and tender submissions
- Ensuring client objectives are clearly agreed upon and met or exceeded
- Participating in feasibility studies, conceptual design, detailed design, and project implementation
- Managing and controlling health, safety, and environmental risks throughout project stages
- Supporting and adhering to HSE requirements during design phases
- Developing and implementing initiatives to improve cost-effectiveness and project efficiency
- Managing and mitigating engineering risks through sound design practices
Requirements
- BEng in Civil Engineering
- Professional registration with ECSA (or in the process of registering within one year of appointment) is advantageous

Experience
- Minimum 3 years post-degree experience in the civil engineering water environment
- Experience working on multi-disciplinary water projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong technical engineering background
- Proven track record in the design of civil engineering water-related projects

- Strong safety awareness and responsibility
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and processes
- Demonstrated commitment to HSE management in a project environment
- Sound understanding of applicable engineering standards and codes of practice
