We are currently seeking a highly experienced and competent Construction Manager to join our client’s team in Pretoria. As a Construction Manager in the roads industry, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of road construction projects from planning and design to execution and delivery. This role requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of construction processes in the roads industry, and the ability to effectively coordinate and manage multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and manage road construction projects from start to finish
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
• Manage and schedule construction equipment and materials
• Supervise and provide guidance to construction crews and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
• Proactively identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during construction
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reports

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in road construction and civil industry
• Registration as construction manager with SACPCMP
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Extensive experience with Bitumen stabilised materials (BSM), reseal, slurry, road construction
• Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards
• Valid driver’s license
