About the Role
The Head of Maintenance and Support is a critical role that ensures profitable and timely delivery of maintenance and support obligations to clients, while driving business growth and sustainability. This position requires strong technical management skills, leadership experience, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure profitable and timely delivery of maintenance and support obligations to clients in accordance with various service level agreements.
- Liaising with EM/EI Engineering Team and other technical resources on the execution of maintenance and support demand management, auditing scheduling, and value addition to clients through system integrity assurance.
- Identifying opportunities for upgrades and client system additions that ensure client-side integrity and EM/EI sustainability.
- Performing day-to-day management of the Customer Support technical team, including task assignment and scheduling, leave approvals, and performance management.
- Interfacing with engineering teams and managers to allocate and organize resources applied to projects, ensuring efficient and effective SLA execution and value addition through deployment of new services, opportunities, upgrades, and hardware.
- Mentoring Maintenance and Services technical staff to develop their skills and expertise.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- BSc Engineering degree or similar
- Recognised training required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations (Act 85 of 1993), including responsibilities of employers, HIRA, Incident Investigations, Construction regulations
