About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance activities across multiple fast food stores in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all maintenance activities across multiple fast food stores
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment, facilities, and utilities are in optimal condition
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
  • Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and general store infrastructure using electrical or mechanical skills
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food industry regulations
  • Supervise and guide maintenance staff and contractors
  • Provide training and mentorship to ensure adherence to operational standards
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to minimize operational disruption
  • Manage maintenance budgets, track expenses, and source cost-effective solutions
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in maintenance management within fast food or retail environments
  • Recognized qualification as an Electrician or Fitter (trade test certificate required)
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, refrigeration, and building systems
  • Proven ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills
