About the Role
Medical Resources Group is recruiting on behalf of a Medical Bureau in Pretoria North for a Medical Billing Clerk to join their team. If you have experience in medical billing for Occupational Therapists and/or Audiologists, this opportunity is for you! The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full billing function for Occupational Therapists and Audiologists, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient medical aid claim processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture and process billing for Occupational Therapy and Audiology services
- Submit medical aid claims accurately and timeously
- Follow up on outstanding and rejected claims
- Ensure correct application of ICD-10 diagnostic codes and relevant procedure codes
- Reconcile accounts and manage debtor follow-ups
- Communicate with medical aids regarding claims, authorisations, and reimbursements
- Handle billing queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Liaise with Occupational Therapists and Audiologists regarding billing matters
- Maintain accurate patient billing records
- Prepare patient statements and manage outstanding accounts
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) – Essential
- Proven experience in medical billing – Essential
- Experience billing for Occupational Therapists and/or Audiologists – Highly advantageous
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding
- Experience with medical aid claim submissions and authorisations
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic systems
