Job Description

A well established organisation is seeking a seasoned Security Architect to join their technology team on a 24 month on‑site contract in Lynnwood Bridge. This role is suited to someone who thrives in a mature IT environment and wants to play a pivotal part in elevating security across diverse platforms. You will take ownership of shaping and guiding the organisations security architecture, ensuring strong protection of systems and data while aligning security practices with strategic objectives and regulatory standards. The position offers meaningful strategic influence, hands-on involvement in cloud focused security advancements, and the opportunity to introduce and reinforce secure-by-design principles within complex technology landscapes, giving you high level architectural responsibility, exposure to advanced cloud environments, and the ability to help drive long‑term security direction. Key Responsibilities: Design and evolve the organisations enterprise‑wide security architecture. Shape and guide cloud security controls, including secure foundations and identity‑based protection models. Integrate modern security approaches, such as zero trust, layered defence, and structured threat‑modelling techniques. Advise engineering and project teams on secure design principles and risk mitigation strategies. Job Experience and Skills Required: Bachelors degree in ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or similar. Postgraduate studies in Cybersecurity, Information Security or related fields are beneficial. 8 years in information security, including at least 5 years in a dedicated architecture role. Strong practical experience in cloud security (preferably Azure), including architecture, identity frameworks, segmentation, and cloud native security capabilities. Broad understanding of infrastructure and security domains, such as networking, encryption, identity, application security, data security, API protection, and container/Kubernetes environments. Strong communication and the ability to guide technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Ability to convert complex security needs into practical architectural recommendations.
