About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager: Research and Development to lead our organisation’s research strategy and knowledge management initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong managerial experience in research, policy development, and publishing within a regulatory, public sector or policy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement the organisation’s research strategy and knowledge management initiatives
- Oversee research projects, policy analysis and knowledge dissemination
- Provide strategic advice on education research trends and policy direction
- Strengthen international collaboration and partnerships
- Manage team performance, budgets and operational delivery
- Ensure compliance, reporting and stakeholder engagement
Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 9) in Education, Public Policy or a related field
- Doctoral qualification (NQF Level 10) advantageous
- 8 years managerial experience in research, policy development and publishing within a regulatory, public sector or policy environment
- Strong understanding of the education legislative and regulatory landscape
- Experience with strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement and research management
