About the Role

Numeral Financial Services Group is seeking a highly skilled SME Loan Officer to join our team in Pretoria. As an integral part of our credit committee, you will be responsible for assessing and implementing viable new and repeat SME business deals, ensuring accurate documentation, and presenting them for approval to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Assess all loan applications allocated to you for processing.
Conduct thorough Due Diligence on loan applications, rejecting those that are not viable and submitting prospective good deals to the Credit Committee for approval.
Implement approved loans properly up to the pay-out stage, including relevant documentation on file, client and Executive Management signatures, and loan progression to pay-out stage.
Deal with client queries passed onto you, ensuring timely submission of required information.
Assist prospective clients in completing online application forms as needed.
Conduct after-care visits or calls on clients to ensure they are on track and progressing well.
Follow up on clients who pay late or are in arrears.
Adhere to the SME Credit Policy and Operating Procedures at all times.
Attend promotional events like SME exhibitions as part of a team, promoting and explaining our lending products to prospective clients.
Achieve and attempt to exceed budget targets allocated to you.
Perform any other tasks requested by Executive Management.

Requirements

High level of attention to detail.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to network.
Ability to build and manage relationships.
Effective planning, organising, and time management skills.

Qualifications

Computer literate with knowledge in Excel, Word, and MS Suite.
Minimum Grade 12, but preferably a B.Com Degree or Diploma in Financial Management.
Experience in compiling an Income Statement, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet, and interpreting Financial Statements.
3 years+ Loan Officer experience.
