About the Role
AllSpes (Pty) Ltd is seeking a motivated and passionate graduate to join their team as a Software Developer Intern. This internship offers hands-on experience in understanding software systems/platforms, testing, coding, and software design, encompassing the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming languages, software development principles, and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer support on various systems.
- Test various platforms as well as new development on platforms.
- Assist with producing code (at an intern level) whilst adhering to the set standards and principles.
- Participate in code reviews and team meetings.
- Collaborate with other team members – including CMR team, developers, designers, and product managers.
Requirements
- BSc Information Technology, Software Development or similar.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) beneficial.
- Basic understanding of programming languages such as C#.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and SQL is an advantage.
- Exposure to frameworks like React, Angular, or js is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software development principles.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience working effectively as part of a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Inter-personal skills.
- A flexible approach and ability to adapt.
- Ability to utilize own initiative and function effectively under pressure.
