About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technician to manage and supervise maintenance operations at our facilities in Cullinan, Pretoria. The role involves overseeing maintenance staff, ensuring operational standards, and maintaining compliance with safety and hygiene protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance work
  • Ensure job cards are completed correctly
  • Manage and prioritize worklists efficiently
  • Complete maintenance check sheets accurately
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns
  • Report downtime details accurately
  • Maintain high quality of maintenance work
  • Keep maintenance areas clean and organized
  • Take ownership of designated facilities
  • Ensure compliance with operational policies
  • Be available for standby duties as required
  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance staff
  • Promote a positive team attitude and monitor performance
  • Track staff timekeeping and follow up on completed work

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Technical (Electrical/Mechanical) trade test
  • 5+ years general maintenance and supervision experience in a FMCG environment
  • Competencies in: Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance, Piping and Plumbing, Refrigeration, Team Leadership, Procurement Process, OSH Act & Food Safety Compliance
