Our client in the technology industry is looking for a UC Installer who will be responsible to ensure that the standard operating procedures of the Company are followed and adhered to in order to provide the best possible service to the client.

Key Responsibilities:

Installations/Projects:
• Preparing equipment, cabling and consumables for installations according to the solution required; under instruction from the Team Leader and/or Solutions Architect;
• Preparing properly before attending to a site;
• Installation of Audio Visual equipment;
• Installation of cabling and determining cable runs;
• Termination of all Audio Visual cabling according to best practice standards;
• Mounting of Audio Visual equipment on any surface required;
• Neatening and labelling racks;
• Implementing solutions according to technical schematics;
• Adhering to safety standards and regulations. This includes use of required PPE at all times;
• Keeping an installation site neat and clean;
• Comprehensive knowledge of proper tool usage;
• Video Conferencing and Audio Visual Equipment Configuration.

Support: from time to time:
• Support of Audio Visual equipment;
• Providing remote/ telephonic support; as and when required
• Advanced fault-finding.

General:
• Must be able to work independently and alone on site support;
• Must be able to assess the situation on site and liaise with the client, should the Team Leader not be present, as well as suppliers and senior staff to resolve issues;
• Must be available to work overtime when required;
• Must be available to travel for installations when required;
• Completing training when required.

Admin:
• Important to complete site audit reports and job-reporting after project completion;
• Feedback to Team Leader and Technical Coordinator regarding job progress (must be available at all times and continuous communication with the Technical Coordinator is important);
• Ensure that the proper documentation is kept – site sign-off, delivery notes etc. and saved in the relevant folders on the server.

Minimum Requirements:
• Senior Certificate (essential);
• Comprehensive knowledge of wiring, cable termination and best practice standards;
• Minimum 2 – 4 year’s Audio Visual Experience;
• Strong knowledge of Audio Visual Systems;
• Proof of technical skills and experience;
• Must have valid driver’s licence.
