About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Reservationist to join our team at Craven Cottage CC in Randburg. As a key member of our reservations team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless guest experiences across our diverse portfolio of properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Reservations Manager with daily reservations duties.
- Maximize sales by responding to guests/agents with accurate information in a professional and timeous manner.
- Process bookings from initial contact, follow up, obtaining of guest details, and collection of monies due.
- Book accommodation, transfers, flights, etc. for guests across our portfolio of properties.
- Process bookings received from Direct Guests, Trade, and Online booking channels.
- Liaise and communicate with internal stakeholders effectively.
- Maintain office procedures to ensure that all information is easily retrievable by all staff.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- A formal hospitality qualification
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in a Reservations or other related lodge position at a 4 or 5-star lodge
- DMC experience will be an advantage
- Able to work in a small team environment
- Committed to service excellence
- Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial
- Able to work under pressure and can complete work quickly and accurately
- Thorough and methodical
- Friendly and outgoing
- Brings energy, passion, and a willingness to learn and contribute to the team
- Strong work ethic
- Be able to absorb large amounts of information (properties are diverse)
- Able to communicate to the Reservations Manager of any problems which you are experiencing or where you require assistance
- Excellent command of English – both written and verbal
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Be fully computer literate and tech savvy
- Adhere to company procedures
