Well-established Accounting & Auditing practice in Randburg is looking for a motivated Senior Bookkeeper to join their accounting team.DescriptionMinimum Requirements:Minimum of 5 years experience in a Bookkeeping practiceExperience with accounting software such as Pastel (essential)Excellent communication, accuracy, and problem-solving skillsPastel processing up to Final Trial Balance (opening balances, debtors, creditors, journals etc)VAT calculations and Turnover reconSARS submissions via e-filingExcel, basic skillsResponsibilities:Monthly bank/petty cash/debtors/creditors processing on Pastel up to Trial BalancePrepare monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliationsMonthly VAT calculations and turnover reconCompleting SARS PAYE/VAT returns on e-filingAdmin duties handling/assisting with client queriesCommunicate with client regarding queries etcReconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completenessSupport month-end reporting and assist in preparing financial statementsAssist with ad-hoc tax and audit queriesSoftskills/Additional Info:Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skillsProactive, dependable, and comfortable working independently or within a teamA problem-solver with initiative and curiosity to learnAdaptable and able to meet deadlines in a dynamic environmentExposure to payroll processing and related reconciliations beneficialSalary depends on experience.
