South Africa: Receptionist / Guest Relations

Reception Duties: Customer Service & Reception: Greeting and Welcoming: Greet members and guests warmly and professionally. Answering Inquiries: Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries efficiently and accurately. Booking Services: Book tee times, pro shop appointments, and other club services. Handling Payments: Process payments for services and merchandise. Information and Assistance: Provide information about club rules, events, and amenities. Maintaining a Clean and Organized Reception Area: Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming. Administrative Tasks: Data Entry: Maintain accurate records of member information and bookings. Membership Management: Assist with membership inquiries and renewals. Mail Handling: Sort and distribute mail. Communication: Ensure effective communication between members, staff, and management. Familiarity with Software: Proficiency in using relevant software, such as booking systems and Microsoft Office. Maintain the lobby, front entrance, workstation, and other surrounding areas clean and free of debris. Requirements: Grade 12 A formal qualification Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is often preferred. Experience in the hospitality or golf industry can be an advantage. Professional Appearance: Maintaining a neat and professional appearance is important. Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as needed. Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of the Club: Familiarity with the club’s facilities, events, and policies is helpful.
