Reports To: General Manager / CEO
Location: Head Office (Gauteng Olifantsfontein & Clayville)
Employment Type: Full-time Permanent

Purpose of the Role
To take full ownership and P&L responsibility for the manufacturing business unit, driving operational excellence, profitability, zero-harm safety, quality standards and strong team performance in a fast-moving production environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Full operational leadership of the business unit (mechanical, electrical, technical, IR, SHEQ and training)
– Develop and execute strategic business & production plans
– Set performance goals, monitor progress and implement corrective actions
– Manage the full financial portfolio budgets, cost control, profitability and capex
– Ensure rapid and effective response to operational contingencies
– Drive performance management at team and individual level
– Implement and maintain a zero harm safety culture with full legislative compliance
– Oversee quality management systems and processes
– Ensure sound corporate governance and financial controls
– Manage HR and labour relations (disciplinary, unions, EE, skills development)
– Deliver excellent HSE results and continuous improvement
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Skills / Personal Characteristics / Other Requirements
– Matric / Grade 12 (NQF 4)
– Relevant tertiary technical qualification (engineering, operations or production management)
– Minimum 5+ years experience in a production/manufacturing environment at management level
– Proven track record managing a full P&L in manufacturing
– Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills
– Solid understanding of SHEQ legislation and implementation
– Computer literate advanced Microsoft Office (JDE experience a strong advantage)
– Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels
– Valid drivers licence and own transport
– Emotional self-control, trustworthiness, adaptability, initiative, service orientation, conflict management and punctuality
Remuneration
Market-related salary + performance bonus + company benefits (full details will be discussed during the interview).
