Job Description

Education and Qualifications

Grade 12 / N3 Qualification
Qualified Artisan Trade Tested (Fitter and Turner/Millwright/Hydraulic Technician)
Drivers License: Code 8 minimum

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery. (Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Mechanical).
Conduct fault-finding and repair issues in a timely manner. Strong judgment/problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic design drawings and specifications.
Able to read technical drawings and specifications
Skilled in fitting, aligning, and repairing motor/gearboxes/pumps.
Prioritize jobs and breakdowns effectively.
Take initiative to maintain plant operations.
Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are up to date.
Previous experience working with injection moulding and assembly operations advantageous.
Experience gained in a manufacturing production environment, advantageous.
Extensive knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics fault-finding and installation
Functional mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic testing of special machinery functions and circuits to ensure it meets the intended design functional specifications.
Sound understanding and knowledge of valve controls and functions thereof.
