About the Role
Hire Resolve is looking for an experienced and reliable Accountant to join our client’s accounting team in Sandton. The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Reconciling financial statements and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Coordinating and managing the month-end and year-end close processes
- Monitoring and analyzing financial data and providing insights to management
- Ensuring compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Managing and mentoring junior bookkeeping staff
- Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Participating in financial audits and providing necessary documentation and support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles with full function
- Registered with SAIPA or SAICA
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
