About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized, analytical, and proactive Fleet Manager to manage and optimize a fleet of approximately 50 vehicles supporting our field operations. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the fleet runs efficiently, safely, cost-effectively, and in full compliance at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily vehicle usage, mileage, and allocation to ensure optimal utilization while minimizing downtime
  • Track fuel spend and consumption trends and implement controls to reduce wastage and identify irregularities
  • Coordinate routine servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance for the fleet
  • Manage accident-related repairs and liaise with service providers and panel beaters to ensure prompt resolution
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records per vehicle
  • Manage annual licensing, registrations, and compliance documentation, tracking, reconciling, and resolving traffic fines timely
  • Recover costs from drivers where applicable and analyze fleet expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Compile monthly fleet performance reports for management

Requirements

  • Proven fleet management experience (ideally managing 30+ vehicles)
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance cycles, licensing, and compliance
  • Proficiency in fleet tracking systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage high-volume operational tasks

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license (Code 8 or higher)
