Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized, analytical, and proactive Fleet Manager to manage and optimize a fleet of approximately 50 vehicles supporting our field operations. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the fleet runs efficiently, safely, cost-effectively, and in full compliance at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor daily vehicle usage, mileage, and allocation to ensure optimal utilization while minimizing downtime
Track fuel spend and consumption trends and implement controls to reduce wastage and identify irregularities
Coordinate routine servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance for the fleet
Manage accident-related repairs and liaise with service providers and panel beaters to ensure prompt resolution
Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records per vehicle
Manage annual licensing, registrations, and compliance documentation, tracking, reconciling, and resolving traffic fines timely
Recover costs from drivers where applicable and analyze fleet expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities
Compile monthly fleet performance reports for management

Requirements

Proven fleet management experience (ideally managing 30+ vehicles)
Strong knowledge of maintenance cycles, licensing, and compliance
Proficiency in fleet tracking systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage high-volume operational tasks

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license (Code 8 or higher)
