Job Summary

Fund Manager We are seeking an experienced Fund Manager with a strong background in alternative investments, or related fields. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and analytical skills and be comfortable in a client-facing environment. Requirements: BCom/BBusSci in Finance, Investments, or Accounting (or a similar degree). CFA designation or actively pursuing CFA is preferred; RE (Regulatory Exam) certification is beneficial. Preferably 2-4 years experience in investment analysis, financial analysis, or a related field, with a strong track record in alternative investments. Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and valuation skills. Advanced Excel proficiency (VBA coding is a plus). Experience with quarterly reporting. Solid understanding of financial statements and investment concepts. A keen interest in renewable energy and sustainable investment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with investors and stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated with a passion for learning and continuous improvement. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Team player with strong collaboration skills. Typical Activities include: Conduct detailed financial analysis, modelling, and valuations of investment opportunities and companies. Assist in the preparation of investment proposals and quarterly performance reports for investors. Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis to support investment decisions. Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing investments in the portfolio. Stay up to date with financial market trends, news, and relevant economic developments to make informed investment decisions. Support the team in investment due diligence, including analysis of company financials, industry data, and legal documentation. Prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Liaise with the senior investment team to prepare and manage fund documentation, ensuring tax incentive compliance. Maintain regular communication with investors, providing updates on fund performance and addressing queries. Develop and launch new funds, ensuring their strategic alignment with company goals. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure fund marketing activities align with business objectives. Key Competencies: Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication, active listening and interpersonal skills are key to effective relationships. Research skills: Effective research involves strong reading comprehension and the capacity to identify if an information source is reliable. Analytical thinking: Analytical skills are vital to assess a financial opportunity”s viability and if it matches investors” goals. Investment analysis. Financial Analysis. Financial Modelling. Strategic thinking: Fund managers provide insight into how best to develop strategies to grow an investment fund”s wealth. Strategy is a key component of a fund”s success.
