About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Business Development Manager to join our team in Sandton. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with key dealership personnel, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fully understand and effectively communicate product and value proposition
  • Understand and identify qualifying clients
  • Build rapport and maintain relationships with key dealership personnel (dealer principal, sales manager, finance and insurance manager, and/or sales executives)
  • Effectively interact with dealer personnel, answering questions, being persuasive, etc.
  • Match and understand the client’s needs, capacity, and requirements and match those with the product requirements
  • Identify dealer personnel needs and trigger points and communicate them effectively with the RSM
  • Identify and recommend individual dealer and dealership strategies with RSM
  • Develop a regular follow-up strategy with dealerships and their personnel to extract maximum support and encourage referrals
  • Strong experience in sales and dealerships (Social Media exposure, tools, and tracking will be viewed as a plus)
  • Any additional requirements as instructed from time to time which may not be listed herein but us required by the operational requirements of the employer, and which falls within the vocational ability of the employee

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a Business Development Manager, Vehicle Sales Executive, or a relevant role
  • Proven sales track record is a MUST
  • Experience in customer support is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software, where applicable
  • Proficiency in English
  • Market knowledge
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills

Qualifications

  • Formal qualification in sales or business will be an added benefit
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
