About the Role
The Sales Coordinator role at Core Group Africa supports the sales function through efficient order management, reporting, and stakeholder coordination, while also contributing to data analysis and insights that drive commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture and process sales orders accurately and timeously
- Liaise with internal teams (logistics, finance, warehouse) to ensure order fulfilment
- Monitor order status and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of all sales transactions
- Ensure adherence to internal processes and controls
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
- Maintain and update sales trackers, dashboards, and reporting templates
- Reconcile sales data and investigate discrepancies
- Provide ad hoc reporting and data support to the sales team
- Act as a liaison between sales, customers, and internal departments
- Communicate order updates, delays, and resolutions clearly and professionally
- Support account managers with customer requirements and follow-ups
- Coordinate meetings, track actions, and ensure timely completion
- Manage escalations and ensure appropriate resolution
- Assist with pricing, quotations, and promotional tracking
- Prepare sales presentations, reports, and supporting documentation
- Track sales performance against targets and highlight variances
- Support onboarding and maintenance of customer accounts
- Provide administrative and operational support to the broader sales team
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 24 years experience in a sales coordination, sales support, or junior analyst role
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. Syspro, SAP, or similar)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
