About the Role
An experienced Mechanical Foreman is urgently needed to lead and manage mechanical maintenance teams in a high-output industrial plant in Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising mechanical teams, maintaining equipment, and implementing reliability strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical teams across presses, dryers, boilers, conveyors
- Maintain and repair gearboxes, bearings, feed systems and rotating equipment
- Lead, plan and track maintenance tasks and outages
- Implement reliability strategies and continuous improvement
- Coach technicians and enforce safety, standards and protocols
- Coordinate shutdown planning and execution
Requirements
- Mechanical trade qualification (Millwright / Fitter) (Red Seal preferred) or equivalent
- Supervisory experience in heavy industry
- Strong mechanical systems knowledge
- Leadership and communication skills
- Safety compliance focus
