About the Role
MegChem is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Draughtsman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engineering drawings of petrochemical equipment and site measurements, ensuring that designs fit existing interfacing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engineering drawings of petrochemical equipment (structures, foundations, drainage, concrete works, reinforcement detailing)
- Conduct site measurements to ensure accurate design fit
- Work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Collaborate with teams and lead projects as required
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 with at least 50% in Maths and Engineering Graphics and Design, and/or a National Engineering Diploma or Apprenticeship
- 4 to 8 years’ experience as a civil draughtsman, preferably within the petrochemical or mining sectors
- Proficient in Revit and Inventor
- Competent in MS Office applications
- Demonstrable leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Capable of working effectively under pressure
- Valid SA driving licence (Code B/EB)
- Own transport is preferred
