About the Role
HotelJobs is seeking a dedicated Halaal Compliance & Kitchen Supervisor to oversee and protect the integrity of Halaal-certified meal production. This role is critical in ensuring that Halaal principles are upheld at every stage from sourcing and preparation to cooking, storage, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with Islamic (Halaal) dietary laws
- Enforce strict separation of Halaal and non-Halaal items, equipment, and areas
- Verify Halaal certification of ingredients, suppliers, and raw materials
- Supervise daily kitchen and production operations
- Prevent cross-contamination and address non-compliance immediately
- Liaise with Halaal certification bodies and support audits
- Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation
- Train and guide kitchen staff on Halaal procedures and standards
Requirements
- Practising Muslim with sound knowledge of Halaal principles
- Experience in a Halaal-certified kitchen, catering, or food production environment
- Familiarity with recognised Halaal certification bodies (SANHA, NIHT, MJC or similar)
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles
