About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Agronomist/Technical Sales Manager to join our team in South Africa. As the technical and commercial face of the business, you will be responsible for driving sales, building relationships with farmers and agents, and providing top-tier technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Sales: Develop and execute regional marketing plans to smash sales budgets
- Build Relationships: Advise farmers and agents, providing top-tier technical support
- Field Work: Plan, execute, and evaluate field trials for new seed varieties
- Present: Lead farmer days, study groups, and field demonstrations
- Stock Management: Oversee consignment stock and assist with regional stock takes
- Travel: Maintain a high-profile presence across a wide territory
Requirements
- Tertiary Qualification: BSc Agriculture, BSc Agric Management, BCom AgriScience, or equivalent
- 25 years in agronomical/technical sales (field crops/sunflower preferred)
- Proven ability to build relationships and hit targets
- Valid Code B licence (Essential!)
- Full proficiency in Afrikaans and English (Speak, Read, Write)
Qualifications
- BASOS registration
- SANSOR or CropLife SA certifications
- Experience in plant breeding or agricultural export
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R35,000 – R40,000 CTC per month
Benefits: Provident Fund Company Vehicle (not included in CTC)
