About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Bookkeeper to join our client’s all-female team in Eagle Canyon, Honeydew, Johannesburg. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the owner to ensure financial excellence and contribute to the company’s success.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee accounting for various companies within the group, managing daily transactions through to final trial balances for auditors.
Generate and process transactions, including orders, invoices, receipts, and payments.
Maintain accurate financial records by importing, allocating, posting, verifying, and updating transactions.
Balance and maintain general ledger, cash books, debtors, and creditors accounts.
Prepare monthly creditors’ remittance advice and process bank payments.
Produce monthly trial balances with reconciliations and supporting documentation.
Compile financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising accounting data.
Support additional financial and administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

Post-matric qualification in accounting or a related field (highly advantageous).
Minimum of 3 years’ proven bookkeeping experience.
Strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
Proven ability to process and manage financial records and accounting figures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sage Pastel Accounting (essential).
Working knowledge of Office Management and Accounting software (advantageous).

Qualifications

Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle (essential).
