About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Bookkeeper to join our client’s all-female team in Eagle Canyon, Honeydew, Johannesburg. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the owner to ensure financial excellence and contribute to the company’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting for various companies within the group, managing daily transactions through to final trial balances for auditors.
- Generate and process transactions, including orders, invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Maintain accurate financial records by importing, allocating, posting, verifying, and updating transactions.
- Balance and maintain general ledger, cash books, debtors, and creditors accounts.
- Prepare monthly creditors’ remittance advice and process bank payments.
- Produce monthly trial balances with reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Compile financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising accounting data.
- Support additional financial and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Post-matric qualification in accounting or a related field (highly advantageous).
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven bookkeeping experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- Proven ability to process and manage financial records and accounting figures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sage Pastel Accounting (essential).
- Working knowledge of Office Management and Accounting software (advantageous).

- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle (essential).
