Camp Co-ordinator. A leading provider of accredited and endorsed training programs in nature guiding, wildlife conservation, and ecotourism. Our programmes are delivered through immersive, onsite experiences at remote South African training camps, where operational excellence, safety, and professionalism underpin everything we do. To support the continued growth and high standards of our South African operations, we seeking an experienced, highly organized, and service-driven Camp Coordinator to join our team. The Role The Camp Coordinator is responsible for the effective coordination, administration, and day-to-day operation of a training camp. This role ensures that camp operations, hospitality, logistics, communication, and compliance are managed to a consistently high standard. Working closely with instructors, students, reserve management, and support staff, the Camp Coordinator plays a key role in creating a professional, safe, and well-run camp environment aligned with our mission, vision, and values. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position based at our South African training camps. A competitive salary package is offered, negotiable based on experience, qualifications, and skill set. Key Responsibilities: Camp Operations & Coordination Overall coordination of the day-to-day operations of a remote training camp Ensure compliance with concession and reserve rules and regulations Ensure all instructors, students, and visitors sign the Code of Conduct and Reserve Rules Liaise with reserve management, landowners, and internal departments on operational matters Oversee camp infrastructure, vehicles, equipment, and general maintenance requirements Hospitality, Housekeeping & Guest Experience Implement and maintain high-end hospitality and housekeeping standards in line with our expectations Oversee room allocations, camp presentation, cleanliness, and guest comfort Manage guest arrivals, departures, and overall camp experience Collect and manage guest and student feedback to support continuous improvement Administration, Logistics & Communication Manage all official camp communication, including camp phone and emails Pre-course preparation, including course listings, paperwork, welcome letters, room allocations, food orders, and menu planning Manage camp and guest administration, including filing, processing, invoicing, and recordkeeping Manage stock control, petty cash, and basic financial administration People & Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate housekeeping, kitchen, and general camp staff Allocate duties, manage schedules, and maintain performance standards Foster a positive, professional camp culture aligned with our values Maintain effective working relationships with instructors, students, interns, and visitors Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all legal, insurance, health, and safety requirements applicable to camp operations Implement and maintain our policies and procedures Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting related to compliance and operations Minimum Requirements: Educational Qualifications Matric Certificate (Grade 12) Recognized qualification from an accredited Hotel School or Hospitality Management institution (certificate, diploma, or degree), or Formal high-end housekeeping or lodge operations training, preferably aligned with luxury lodge or five-star hospitality standards Experience Minimum of 5 years experience in the safari, lodge, hospitality, conservation, or tour operating environment Proven experience in camp, lodge, or operational coordination roles Experience working in remote or wilderness-based environments Technical & Professional Skills Strong organizational, logistical, and administrative skills High level of computer literacy Experience with stock control, cash handling, and basic invoicing Sound understanding of remote camp or lodge operations Ability to implement and maintain high-end hospitality standards in a remote environment Personal Attributes: High energy levels with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong leadership presence and people-management ability High levels of professionalism, accountability, and integrity Ability to live and actively promote our mission, vision, and values Valid drivers license Excellent track record with contactable references Please Note – While all applications are valuable, well reach out directly to candidates who best meet the clients requirements.
