About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Camp Co-ordinator to join our team at HotelJobs. As the vital operational heartbeat of our guide training school, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth logistical and administrative operations of the camp. If you have a passion for nature and previous experience in the hospitality/nature/conservation environment, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding the Concessions and Reserve Rules and Regulations, and ensure that Instructors, students, and visitors sign the Code of Conduct and Reserve Rules.
- Handle official communication in camp, including camp phone and emails.
- Pre-course preparation: Course Listings, Paperwork, Welcome Letters, Room Allocation, Food Orders and Menu preparation.
- Guest arrival, feedback forms, stock and cash control.
- Camp and guest administration, processing, invoicing, filing, and paperwork.
- Supervising housekeeping and kitchen staff.
- Compliance with Legal and Regulatory Requirements with regard to Insurance, Health and Safety.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- An applicable tertiary qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Safari, Lodge, or Hospitality Industry (Lodge background preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent personal skills with both staff and students
