About the Role
HotelJobs, a leading private estate recruitment partner, is seeking an experienced and highly hands-on Chief Marine & Facilities Engineer to oversee all technical, marine, and facilities operations across a large, complex property in the Bahamas.
Key Responsibilities
- Full oversight of estate infrastructure, marina, and technical systems
- Development and implementation of comprehensive preventative maintenance programs
- Management and maintenance of HVAC, generators, electrical, plumbing, water treatment and RO plants, sewage, and irrigation systems
- Oversight of all marine assets, including boats, dock systems, lifts, fueling systems, and shoreline power
- Maintenance of estate vehicles and technical equipment
- Supervision and leadership of maintenance staff, with coordination of external contractors where required
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 plus years experience in engineering roles within private estates, marine, yachting, or similar high-end resort environments
- Strong marine engineering experience is essential
- Relevant technical certifications or licenses preferred
- Proven experience leading and managing technical teams
- Highly hands-on, adaptable, and solutions focused, with the ability to operate effectively in a remote and logistically challenging environment
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years experience in engineering roles within private estates, marine, yachting, or similar high-end resort environments
